Hello, I’m Liani Calvo, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the founder of Gentle Wellness. I created this practice to provide a calm and supportive space where you can slow down, reflect, and feel truly heard. I believe therapy should feel safe and collaborative - a place where you can explore your experiences at your own pace while working toward meaningful healing and growth.

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about what comes next. In our work together, we’ll take time to understand what you’re going through, explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and build tools that help you move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and emotional balance.

My approach to therapy is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and respect for each person’s unique experiences. I take a person-centered approach, which means creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. When people feel safe enough to explore their thoughts and emotions openly, meaningful healing and growth can begin.

Evidence Based

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps individuals recognize the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through this approach, clients can develop practical strategies to manage symptoms of anxiety and depression and create healthier patterns.

I incorporate evidence-based practices to help clients better understand their experiences and develop tools for lasting change.

I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy that helps individuals process difficult experiences and reduce the emotional impact of past events.
